What is Email Authentication?
SPF
Sender Policy Framework — lists the servers allowed to send for your domain. On its own, it does not stop someone from putting your name in the From line.
DKIM
DomainKeys Identified Mail — adds a digital signature to verify your emails haven't been tampered with.
DMARC
Domain-based Message Authentication — checks that the From line people see matches what SPF or DKIM verified, and tells receivers to refuse the fakes. This is the part that stops spoofing.
